The Alabama Funeral Directors Association and the Funeral Trust of Alabama
are excited to introduce our new Executive Director, Ken Hammock
Ken is a fifth generation native of Elmore County, Alabama. He is a 1998 graduate of Wetumpka High School. Ken has been a licensed funeral director in Alabama for over 21 years.
From 2004-2012 he served two consecutive terms representing District 1 on the Wetumpka City Council. He has served and is currently serving in many capacities as a community advocate to include: President of the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce, President of the Elmore County Historical Society, Lifetime member of Friends of the Wetumpka Library, Co-chair of Wetumpka's Relay for Life, Vice-President of Friends of the Forts, Board Member of Trail of Legends Association, Board Member of Elmore County Community Foundation, Graduate of the inaugural Leadership Elmore County class whose project established the Elmore County Economic Development Authority, Chairman of Riverfest Festival, and served on the Civic Center building, river walk development, and playground ad hoc committees. He is a recipient of the William F. Sahlie Volunteer of the Year award. Ken received the Advanced Certified Municipal Official distinction from the Alabama League of Municipalities after extensive training and program completions.
Ken has worked for Collier Ford for the past 5 years as the dealerships marketing and public relations specialist.
He is a member of First Baptist Church Wetumpka where he is an ordained Deacon, serves as assistant Sunday School Director, and chairman of Stewardship.
Ken is father to three beautiful children, Eston Granger Hammock (11), Pruitt Rogers Hammock (8), and Sarah Catherine Hammock (6).
